Many of our clients want a website that is flexible with the ability to expand the number of pages and content themselves. This is possible with a Content Management System (or CMS), and there are many to choose from. WordPress (WP) is one that we like to work with the most because it’s easy to install, uses open-source code with tons of community support and easy for our programmers to work with.
Here’s a basic tutorial we created for our client, CARES, who recently underwent a Stalelife re-design using WordPress.
http://www.vimeo.com/5491565Links for the plug-ins we mentioned that are quite helpful:
Viper’s Video Quicktags – Helps you embed videos from various sites by simply adding the link URL to the video. The quicktags do all the heavy lifting.
Flickr Manager – This handy plugin helps connect your Flickr library to WordPress to you can browse your galleries and post pictures from Flickr straight into your pages and post.

Great Work Kurt.
For each of our client releases, we always try to provide a simple little instruction manual on how to use WordPress.
I’ve found that Posts are never a problem for clients, but the Pages section in WordPress tends to throw everyone for a loop. It typically causes the most headache and takes the most time to troubleshoot and correct.
I love the idea of an online video tutorial. Such a great way to take a complex issue and port it into a simple understandable medium.
Great work guys.
